Job Description

  • Set and execute the claims strategy, driving combined ratio and severity performance in line with board-approved targets
  • Lead 100-plus professionals through a layer of senior managers, building a high-performance culture defined by technical quality and operational discipline
  • Serve as the final technical escalation point for complex, high-value, and disputed claims, and govern the claims authority matrix across all lines
  • Drive claims cost containment through rigorous severity management, repair benchmarking, medical fee governance, and early intervention strategies
  • Establish a structured fraud and suspicious claims identification capability, with clear referral protocols and triage processes to contest or decline where the evidence supports it
  • Own the recoveries programme across subrogation, salvage, and reinsurance, with clear targets embedded across the team
  • Manage the full supplier ecosystem including garages, assessors, loss adjusters, and legal panel firms, driving quality and cost performance
  • Ensure full OIC regulatory compliance and act as the primary point of contact for supervisory engagement on claims matters

Experience

  • 15-plus years in non-life claims, with 8-plus years in senior claims leadership with P&L accountability
  • Deep technical expertise in Motor (CMI and VMI) claims, with breadth across PCM lines
  • Proven track record managing large, multi-discipline claims functions through senior managers
  • Demonstrable results in claims cost containment, severity reduction, and leakage control
  • Experience managing recoveries, supplier networks, and reinsurer relationships on claims matters
