Job Description :

    • Handle the process of receiving incident notifications and recording claims, including setting and adjusting claim reserves.
    • Review and approve escalated claim payments and expense adjustments.
    • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including brokers, agents, surveyors, reinsurer and other service partners, to facilitate seamless claims resolution.
    • Carry out necessary correspondence with reinsurers
    • Responsible for managing and monitoring claim recovery litigation efforts, no cure no pay and other issue may have in claim handling.
    • Manage and support the Marine, P&C and Special Lines Claims teams to ensure efficient and customer-focused operations.
    • Lead efforts to strengthen Claims management.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Law, Insurance, Business Administration, Marine Transport, or a related field.
  • At least 5 - 7 years of experience in insurance claims handling, especially in marine and specialty (non-motor) insurance.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance policies, claim procedures, reinsurance, and legal aspects related to claims.
  • Experience in managing claim reserves, claim payments, subrogation, and legal proceedings.
  • Ability to lead and develop a claims team with effective people management and coaching skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in English (especially for reading and drafting claim reports and correspondence with reinsurers).
