Network Security Engineer

As a Network Security Engineer, you will support the operation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of network security platforms across the EMEA Bank and Securities technology estate. You will act as a supporting point of contact for audit, IT risk, and security governance teams, ensuring alignment with regulatory frameworks such as ISO 27001, SAMA, and SWIFT CSCF, while strengthening perimeter, cloud, and edge security controls.

What You'll Do and How You'll Succeed

Network Security Operations

• Operate, monitor, and maintain network security platforms across EMEA.
• Support perimeter security controls including next‑generation firewalls and intrusion prevention systems (IPS).
• Manage cloud‑based edge security platforms (WAF, DDoS protection, Zero Trust / ZTNA).
• Support Secure Web Gateway (SWG) solutions including URL filtering, SSL inspection, and user‑based access controls.
• Enhance visibility with microsegmentation tools, application dependency mapping, and east‑west traffic analysis.

Policy & Governance

• Support network security policy management processes, including firewall rule changes, reviews, and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with audit, risk, and compliance stakeholders to ensure regulatory alignment.
• Provide audit‑ready documentation, evidence packs, and compliance reporting.

Integration & Collaboration

• Work in multi‑vendor environments, supporting integrations across diverse firewall and security platforms.
• Collaborate with IT partners, operations, and vendors to implement new controls.
• Support Information Security incidents and operational security duties as required.

Continuous Improvement & Automation

• Deliver implementation packages and handover documents for new deployments.
• Develop automation scripts, dashboards, or integrations to reduce manual workload.
• Contribute to improvements in detection, compliance, and control effectiveness.

We'd Love to Hear From You If...

Experience

• You have 8–10 years of experience in cyber or information security roles.
• You have strong experience in network security operations, TCP/IP, routing, switching, and traffic‑flow analysis.
• You have hands‑on experience with firewalls, IPS, SWG, NAC (Cisco ISE), and cloud network security concepts.

Technical Expertise

• You are proficient in Windows Server and Linux environments.
• You understand infrastructure, networking, and operating systems deeply.
• You are experienced with enterprise cyber security tools and regulatory frameworks (ISO 27001, CIS, NIST).
• You have scripting or automation exposure (Python, Ansible, PowerShell).
• Certifications such as Security+, CEH, or vendor/platform credentials (Microsoft, AWS) are advantageous.
