Data Entry Specialist, Remote

Our client, based out of Washington, DC, is seeking a Data Entry Specialist for a remote, contract or full-time opportunity. 

Description

This will be a contingent hire for a contract with SAMHSA expected to start in April 2022. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) requires program and analytical support services, short term analyses, technical assistance, and support for its information and related programs.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize, research, analyze, and perform accurate data entry related to mental health and/or substance use disorders in support of policy and program analysis.
  • Conduct systematic review of literature (environmental scans).
  • Collect, organize and track information to facilitate and expedite decision making.
  • Support data-driven insights and recommendations appropriate for diverse populations.
  • Categorize and enter comments submitted in response to various proposed and final behavioral health rules and regulations, and sub-regulatory guidance.
  • Conduct research in support of focus groups, conferences, and meetings.
  • Report to the Senior Policy Analyst, Senior Research Analyst, or Program Manager.

Requirements

  • Associate degree, 2 years of college, or higher in any related field. An equivalent of this educational requirement in working experience is also acceptable.
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience in reviewing, entering, or analyzing data, preferably health data.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills.
  • Basic understanding of databases.
  • Strong attention to detail. 
  • Ability to react quickly and effectively to needs and priorities.
  • Must demonstrate honesty, integrity, and appreciation of differing opinions and perspectives, and must be responsible, accountable, and collaborative.
