As a Manager - IT, you will work in our client's Finance Applications group in a remote work environment. We are looking for experienced individuals to lead a team of analysts and software developers to manage a wide range of financial systems in our client's portfolio, including but not limited to treasury, budgeting & forecasting, general ledger, accounting and tax. You'll be leading a team in the midst of a major financial systems transformation of key systems to Oracle ERP and will have an opportunity to participate in the design and execution of staffing & operational process redesign for the team.

You will be responsible for management and planning of resources, finances, scope and services within our portfolio to deliver business results; providing IT products, services and solutions on time, within budget and with the required functionality; establishing, maintaining and enhancing relationships with internal business clients; and will participate in developing and implementing strategy/policy.

The right individual will be comfortable with a high degree of change, enjoy the opportunity to develop a team from the ground up, have experience with financial systems and have operated in an agile/devops operating model.


  • Lead and manage IT staff and resources in accordance with IT Business Plan. Plan and manage to defined service level agreements at agreed upon budgets. (30%)
  • Operate utilizing standard processes as defined within the Management Model to maintain portfolio health. Oversee process improvement efforts and ensure adoption of standard processes and procedures that deliver sustainable top quartile cost and performance levels. (20%)
  • Establish, maintain, and enhance relationships with business and IT partners. Communicate status to key stakeholders on a regular basis. (15%)
  • Evaluate performance and provide coaching for IT personnel. Participate in career development and succession planning processes. Promote diversity and foster teamwork, collaboration, and a learning organization. Provide input on development and retention processes for IT employees. (15%)
  • Maintain current business knowledge and technical acumen, including application of technology solutions to deliver business results. (10%)
  • Prepare and manage budget and contracts (including forecasting, accruals, and long range planning) for area of responsibility. (10%)

Job Scope

  • Total Staff Managed: 5 to 20 including employee and contractor team members
  • Utilize understanding of customer's business needs to determine requirements and help set direction.
  • Determine and helps others learn appropriate theories, practices and principles that relate to their skill set portfolio and related sciences and disciplines.
  • Make judicious decisions in familiar and new situations and contributes to strategic decisions.
  • Represent business client's perspective with IT team
  • Operate independently with little or no supervision.


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline and typically 8 to 10 years experience in an IT operational support role or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Appropriate technical skills:
    • Oracle ERP or similar financial ERP systems, understanding of integration and reporting technologies such as Boomi, Apigee, Informatica, shell scripting, SQL, Power BI or equivalent, Oracle Analytics Cloud or equivalent.
    • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office portfolio, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Project
  • Strong knowledge of business practices and processes in IT Operations Management and financial systems
  • Experience leading and managing technical personnel.
  • Strong judgment and excellent analytical ability.
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of IT, business and vendor stakeholders.
  • Experience managing budgeting and forecasting for functional area of responsibility.


  • ServiceNow ITSM
  • Experience participating in or leading small to large IT or process improvement projects.
  • Project Management certification
