Our client is looking for an IT Systems Administrator/Engineer with mid-level IT experience to join the rapidly growing Management Consulting and Technology team! At our client, the IT engineers are vital in delivering services with minimal supervision to help their clients solve problems or implement new solutions. Their IT engineers must possess experience in a wide array of technologies, strong communication skills, and the ability to balance quality, deadlines, and client expectations. Their IT engineers are responsible for developing strong client relationships, along with maintaining additional internal (non-client) responsibilities.

The candidate will be assigned to a healthcare client to support their day-to-day operations and management of their enterprise infrastructure in a full-time capacity for several months. Afterwards, the candidate will transition to our Client Care Services team delivering our full capabilities of IT managed services to several clients. Their IT engineers not only play a significant role in client service delivery, but they also lead or support additional internal (non-client) responsibilities.


  • Analyze, identify, evaluate, and recommend technical solutions for clients.
  • Architect, design, engineer and implement technical solutions.
    Perform daily operations and management task in maintaining client IT environments.
  • Work in all technology environments including virtualization, cloud platforms and infrastructure services.
  • Support client IT service management capabilities including asset management, incident management, problem management, capacity planning, release management, etc.
  • Develop and maintain technical artifacts such as design documentation, diagrams, configuration specifications and operational manuals on behalf of the client.
  • Delivers IT operations and management support.
  • Provides engineering support to help clients reconfigure, implement, migrate and deploy technology solutions.
  • Develops and maintains an in-depth understanding of the client’s business, industry, and needs.
  • Builds relationships with clients at all levels.
  • Handles day to day issues and communication with client.
  • Manages the creation of deliverables, work product, and communications.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and effective decision making to manage and mitigate risk.
  • Actively engages with existing professional network and seeks opportunities to expand it.
  • Participates in sales calls with clients.
  • Writes approaches and solutions for proposals and business development pursuits.
  • Writes industry articles and external publications.
  • Develops and maintains expertise in technical and industry areas.
    Develops an understanding of the service line specific tools required by the professional services delivered.


  • Seeking individuals with professional experience in designing, building, and maintaining large IT environments with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
  • 3-5 years' experience designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions (PaaS, SaaS and IaaS).
  • 3-5 years' experience designing, building, supporting, and managing virtualized environments such as VMWare, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Citrix.
  • 3-5 years' experience designing, deploying, and managing core infrastructure technologies such as Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and SMB services.
  • 3-5 years' experience general understanding of network design principles, configurations, and services with exposure to technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto.
  • 3-5 years' experience storage design and configuration using NetApp or EMC platforms.
  • 3-5 years' experience mainstream operating systems such as Microsoft Windows.
  • 3-5 years' experience IT service management processes and supporting tools.
  • Strong practical knowledge of technology and its application in business.
  • Experience facilitating solution design and presenting findings to senior executives.
  • Ability to translate strategy to the tactical and operational activities necessary to execute.
  • Exercise and meeting facilitation experience.
  • Proactively demonstrate commitment to team and firm development.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to proactively manage multiple commitments and tasks.
  • Experience building effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience working as part of project teams in a consulting or strong customer-oriented environment.
  • Ability to travel, when applicable.


  • Previous experience working in the healthcare industry is a plus but not required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering concentration preferred but not required.
  • Candidate with recent IT certifications is desirable.
