As a Technical Writer, you will provide support to the engineering team with writing, reviewing, and maintaining technical documents for network systems. This includes writing such technical documents as procedure manuals, reference guides, and related technical publications concerned with installation, operation, and maintenance of electronic, electrical, mechanical, and other equipment. You'll be both a team member and leader to meet rapid client demands.   • Research highly technical subject matter, organize information from multiple sources and express technical information in written form that is comprehensible to a wide audience of readers.
  • Draft, expand, refine and edit architecture documents, technical concepts or solutions into easy-to-read, comprehensive, compliant and compelling documents.
  • Develop outlines and drafts for review and approval by technical specialists and management ensuring that final documents meet applicable contract requirements and government regulations.
  • Create compelling White Papers and other documents.
  • Collaborate with technical team members (including technical writer peers) for content development.
  • Work with compliance teams to ensure adherence to established standards, requirements, and guidelines.
  • Interact directly with the customer while exhibiting professionalism and highly-engaged, attentive, and exemplary service.
  • Attend and/or facilitate meetings while capturing action items and other key information for follow-up.
  • Become familiar and comply with government style guides.

Additional tasking/duties may include:

  • Manage documentation projects end-to-end, overseeing schedules, road maps, milestones, and final delivery.
  • Lead documentation review sessions.
  • Develop and improve programmatic workflows and standards.
  • Provide input to overall documentation strategy.
  • Handle, track, and archive document-related data.


  • U.S Citizenship
  • DoD Secret Clearance
  • 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in oral and written form.
  • Expert in use of MS Office Suite to include Visio and Project.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or English/Journalism.


  • Self-starter with prior experience writing technical documents for DoD.
  • Experience in cybersecurity, preferably within DoD.
  • Masters degree in a technical field or English/Journalism.
