Jr. Cyber Security Analyst (Secret Clearance), Hanover, MD

• Full-time, Direct Hire

• Target Salary:  Up to $80K (DOE)

Offers ability to be processed for a TS/SCI Clearance.

Description

Join a dynamic security operations team to monitor, detect, contain and remediate IT threats.

Responsibilities

• Provide threat and vulnerability analysis
• Investigate, document and report on information security issues and emerging trends
• Analyze and respond to previously undisclosed software and hardware vulnerabilities
• Prepare organizational disaster recovery plans
• Keep up to date on the latest cybersecurity news and latest technologies.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship
• Active Secret Clearance - expected to obtain TS/SCI
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II+ valid certificate
• 1-3 Years Cybersecurity Analyst/SOC Experience monitoring security events, providing notification, and escalating incidents
• Experience in Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
• Experience researching and evaluating emerging cybersecurity threats
• Experience in IT infrastructure and operational application health and status monitoring and incident escalation
• Experience assisting senior cybersecurity leadership with dashboard creation and improvement
• Strong communication skills both written and oral

Desired

• BS in a technical field
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch and Lucene
• Familiarity with JSON
• Experience in Python scripting
