Our client, based out of Los Alamos, NM, is seeking a Senior Oracle Apex Developer for a remote, direct hire opportunity. 


Due to government client requirements, this position requires a US Citizen who can obtain a clearance.

Candidate must be able to work Mountain Time. 


Our client is currently seeking a Senior Oracle Apex Developer. The candidate must have advanced APEX programming experience, organization skills, and the ability to multi-task. The successful candidate should also have a strong desire to learn new technologies, to become an expert in their field, and the willingness and confidence to develop safety-class, mission-critical software.


  • Advanced or expert experience analyzing, designing, developing, modifying, testing, debugging, reverse engineering, and implementing APEX applications.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with DB design and utilization of relational databases as well as excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Oracle APEX 5.x/19.x/20.x and Oracle Database 18c/19c.
    SQL, PL/SQL (procedures, functions, packages), cursors, triggers, collections, transactional modeling, database normalization, indexing methods, constraints, and object usage.
  • Performance tuning (SQL Trace, Explain Plan, Indexing, Hints, Bulk Binds, Bulk Collect), security, auditing, metadata management, and other data solutions of mission-critical software.
  • JavaScript, JSON, AJAX, Web Services, XML, HTML, CSS, and UI/UX.
  • APEX interactive reports, interactive grids, collections, graphs, dashboards, and generating PDF reports.
  • APEX security, authentication, and authorization schemes.
  • Documentation, training, maintaining, upgrading, and reverse engineering of APEX applications.
  • Data processing, data loading, automation improvements, data integrity, and data presentation.
  • Experience consuming and authoring RESTful and SOAP web services.
  • Experience with distributed version control systems like Git and/or TFS.
  • Development, system performance, availability, reliability, security, recoverability, and code efficiency.
  • Experience working within Scrum or some other Agile framework.


  • Self-motivated, must want to go off to do the work with little guidance.
  • Experienced in older versions of Apex and can manage workflow through system changes and documentation.
    Significant experience building applications using Oracle Application Express – APEX.
  • Database experience with DB design, SQL, and PL/SQL.
  • Familiarity with information security tools, authentication accessing printers, scanners, and other peripherals (integration of bar codes, passages, APIs, APEX Office Print 21.x).
  • Experience with implementing standard out of the box features in Apex 21.2.
  • Collaboration: We are looking for someone who can work well in a team-oriented environment with the ability to communicate and collaborate cross-functionally within and outside of the group. In addition, you must have effective interpersonal skills for communicating technical information, building relationships, and resolving conflicts.
  • Innovation: This position will require you to research new technologies and tools, incorporate their usage into new products and services, and mentor junior developers.
  • Time Management: You should have strong multitasking capabilities and the ability to work on multiple products and issues simultaneously.
  • This position requires a relevant bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 plus years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • Experience working with Agile (Scrum) methodologies and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Experience upgrading, supporting, extending, and enhancing Commercial off the Shelf Products (COTS) or Cloud applications.
