Our Client, an R&D organisation in the Motor Vehicle sector, is looking for a number of Senior Embedded Software Developers/Engineers for full-time positions in Adelaide, SA. The organisation is growing and developing new products and features to its expanding portfolio of innovative automotive guidance products.
The Senior Software Engineer:
The preferred candidate will take a significant role in the design and development of the Client's stack software portfolio. You should have a passion and experience with embedded C/C++ software, ideally for the Linux run-time environment.
Technical Skills:
- 5+ years professional experience in embedded software development projects.
- Experience with and passionate about embedded Linux software development and Agile delivery.
- Good Embedded C/C++ code and Python skillset.
- Knowledge and experience in Matlab would be a distinct advantage.
- Knowledge of challenges involved in embedded system application and driver development.
- Knowledge of applications, network layer and medium access control protocols for peer to peer wireless/WiFi networks would be highly desirable.
- Knowledge of GNSS, GPS, RF or other localisation technology fundamentals also highly desirable, but not essential.
- Excellent communication, oral, written and presentation and reporting skills.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Degree in Engineering, IT or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team and meet deadlines.
- Ability to effectively communicate to all company departments.
- Understands the culturally diverse environment and get along well with all people.
- Ability to multitask, to perform under pressure, and to meet deadlines while working with multiple projects concurrently.
- Wide interest in technical software development in and Agile, dynamic environment.
- A genuine interest in all things wireless/autonimous and if no specific experience in these domains, a willingness to learn it, participate and contribute to the technical growth of the company.
- Experience developing embedded software for the Automotive sector would be highly regarded, but not essential.
