The Catalyst Group is hiring a Head of Human Resources for its client, a leading pharmaceutical company.

Location: Karachi

The Head of Human Resources will be responsible for leading the HR function, ensuring the alignment of HR strategies with business goals, and fostering a high-performance culture. This role will involve strategic planning, talent management, and operational HR excellence to support the company's organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives and HR policies
  • Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and senior leadership team, providing insights and guidance on HR matters

Talent Management

  • Oversee talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies to ensure a strong and capable workforce
  • Implement performance management systems that promote a high-performance culture and continuous improvement

Employee Relations

  • Foster a positive work environment and manage employee relations, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies
  • Handle complex employee relations issues with sensitivity and professionalism

HR Operations

  • Ensure effective HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS management
  • Monitor and report on key HR metrics to the CEO and CHRO

Learning & Development

  • Develop and oversee training and development programs that enhance employee skills and career growth
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to HR
  • Identify and mitigate HR-related risks in collaboration with the Group HR team

Qualifications

Education: 

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • A Masters degree or HR certification is preferred

Experience: 

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role
  • Proven experience in strategic HR planning, talent management, and employee relations

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficient in HRIS and other HR-related software
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
