Job Description:
Chief Executive Officer
About Accelerate Indian Philanthropy (AIP)
Chief Executive Officer
Accelerate Indian Philanthropy (AIP) is a four-year-old non-profit peer network, founded by philanthropists for philanthropists, with a mission to inspire many more wealth creators to give more, give sooner, give better. Since inception, AIP has built a network reaching over 400 wealth creators, of whom about 200 are actively engaged across cities, wealth sources, and generations. Its credibility and sustainability are anchored by ~55 Founders and Core Founders, whose financial contributions ensure that AIP remains pro bono and philanthropist-first.
The focus during the first 4 years (AIP 1.0) was on influencing philanthropists to give more, sooner, and better—laying the foundation for a sustained philanthropic movement. This required networking & convening, bespoke engagement and knowledge creation to support network members at varying stages of their giving journeys - all while remaining agnostic and neutral, distinct from advisory firms or sector-driving collaboratives. Simultaneously, the focus was on building the organisation—bringing together the right leadership and teams, and establishing the systems, processes, and culture essential for long-term success.
As AIP moves into AIP 2.0, the emphasis shifts from building the foundation to scaling the movement. AIP will focus on facilitating and promoting philanthropy—reaching a wider pool of potential givers and inspiring them to take the first step by signing the Accelerate India Pledge. This will be complemented by lighter touch, bespoke engagement to help emerging givers on-ramp into their philanthropic journey. The role of knowledge creation will evolve accordingly; becoming more targeted and supportive of AIPs efforts to amplify philanthropy, while continuing to do what is required to help emerging givers begin and sustain their giving journeys.
Position Summary
The Chief Executive Officer will provide overall leadership to AIP, steering it through its next phase of growth as a trusted and inspirational peer platform for philanthropists. S/he will be responsible for further building and deepening AIPs network of engaged givers, fostering a culture of collaboration, and ensuring that the organisation continues to remain philanthropist-first and agnostic in its approach.
As a clear North Star, the CEO will lead AIPs marquee Accelerate India Pledge initiative—aiming to secure 300 signatories by 2030 and on-ramp the giving journeys of at least 150 emerging givers and pledgees—thereby catalysing a powerful movement of strategic, collaborative philanthropy in India.

This role requires an entrepreneurial leader who can combine strategic vision with executional discipline, building on the momentum of the past four years while ensuring that AIP continues to grow in relevance and impact, positioning the AIP network as the cultural reference point for giving in India.
