About The Udaiti Foundation:
The Udaiti Foundation is accelerating women's workforce participation in the formal sector in India and collaborating with state governments and private sector enterprises to bring 156 million employable but currently unemployed women into the workforce. Udaiti is working on three pathways- 1) Dismantling structural barriers for women to access quality jobs 2) Strengthening the ecosystem for women entrepreneurs to become job creators, and 3) Strengthening critical infrastructure enablers such as housing, mobility, and childcare, through its data-driven platforms while advancing India's vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
Centre of Excellence for Women Entrepreneurship:
The Centre of Excellence for Women Entrepreneurship focuses on enabling growth-oriented women-led enterprises to scale and become job creators. Through its four pillars—Data & Research, Evidence Building, Advocacy, and Policy Enablement—the Centre works to strengthen the systems that shape women entrepreneurs' access to credit, markets, mentorship, and public support. It seeks to unlock gender-disaggregated data for informed decision-making, design replicable state-led growth models, and translate on-ground evidence into actionable policy reforms. By linking data, demonstration, and policy, the Centre serves as a platform that helps partners understand what works and create systemic solutions for women-led enterprise growth.
About the Role:
The SPM/Lead will be an entrepreneurial candidate who will lead the execution of programs under the Centre of Excellence. She/he will be responsible for running the centre, coordination among different stakeholders (State Governments, Donors and Incubators / Accelerators) and women entrepreneurs. As the first employee of the Centre, you will play an important role in shaping strategic decisions for the centre and will serve as a spokesperson for the organization.
Responsibilities:
· Develop the theory of action for the centre and quantifiable outcomes for the pillars
· Design and implement a state-led women entrepreneurship hub model in one Indian state
· Develop state playbook for the centre's model and scale up the work to multiple states
· Design, implement and evaluate various intervention supporting women entrepreneurs with access to credit, access to markets and skills
· Collaborate with internal and external partners, including state governments, policy researchers, implementation agencies, and donors
· Secure funding for the centre in collaboration with the Partnerships team
· Lead the centre's team and support them in achieving the centre's goals
Requirements:
· 8+ years of experience in working in incubator or acceleration space, business consulting or been an entrepreneur
· Advanced understanding of the entrepreneurship ecosystem and incubation processes.
· Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work in complex, ambiguous environments
· Passionate about gender equity and systems change
· Proven track record in cross-functional team leadership and stakeholder management and strong communication skills
