AIP was launched in 2021 with a bold vision: to see personal philanthropy drive Indias transformation. AIP collaborates with Ultra-High-Net-Worth Individuals (UHNIs) and their families, both within India and across the diaspora, with the mission to inform, influence, and inspire them to give more, give sooner, and give better. Over the last 3 years AIP has rapidly grown into a movement with over 40 prominent individuals driving our network as Core Founders and Founders, amplifying our impact and reach.
With a team of 13 full-time experts, AIP leverages its deep knowledge of UHNI philanthropy to engage with a diverse community of philanthropists in creating meaningful change. Weve curated a rich collection of case studies and insights from diverse philanthropic journeys, covering a wide range of sectors and theories of change.

Position Summary
We seek a seasoned and dynamic marketing leader to head Brand & Communications at AIP as a key member of our leadership team. This is an opportunity for a professional with over 15 years of experience to provide visionary leadership and shape the public narrative of one of India's most influential philanthropic networks.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and a compelling storyteller, responsible for building a powerful brand identity and voice that resonates with India's leading givers and amplifies AIP's core mission. In this capacity the role will own AIPs public voice, reputation, and narrative across web, social, newsletter, events, media, publications and multimedia assets. This role is a central point of our strategic growth, requiring an individual with the utmost work ethics and a relentless commitment to excellence. You will not just manage communications; you will serve as a senior advisor to our leadership and a strategic partner to our members, translating their visionary work into a compelling public story.
The role will also work with the stakeholders within the organisation to translate complex ideas into persuasive, high-integrity storytelling that motivates philanthropists and influences the broader ecosystem. The leader will combine strategic vision with operational delivery, managing teams and agency partners to deliver measurable outcomes in reach, engagement and reputation.
Responsibilities
1.Strategy Leadership & PlanningBrand Strategy & Reputation
- Define, develop, execute, and own a long-term comprehensive brand and communications strategy with AIPs mission to inspire, influence, and inform strategic giving and growth plan.
- Position AIP as the authoritative voice on strategic philanthropy among UHNIs, family offices, policymakers and peer institutions.
- Craft messaging that amplifies and aligns with AIPs vision, mission, and values.
- Shape the organization's public image and manage external communications and media relations to build a positive and respected brand reputation.
- Serve as a senior advisor to the leadership team, providing guidance on messaging, tone, and strategic content to advance the organizations goals
2. Content & Channel Management: Lead the editorial direction, design, production, and distribution of all public-facing content, from concept to completion. This includes managing a diverse portfolio of multimedia assets across all key touchpoints:
- Digital Platforms: Oversee the website, social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, X), and email campaigns to maximize reach and engagement.
- Publications & Knowledge Resources: Direct the creative design and aesthetics in the packaging, presentation, and promotion of knowledge resources and communiquesshowcasing the collective impact of the network.
- Collateral & Media: Manage the production of digital and print media, event materials, and other collaterals to strengthen brand identity.
3. Media, PR & Thought Leadership
- Drive media strategy and relationships with national and sectoral press; secure high-value coverage and op-eds.
- Amplify AIPs research and events through targeted amplification plans and spokesperson preparation.
4. Events & Convenings
- Design communications for marquee convenings, workshops and launches to maximize impact and post-event reach.
- Coordinate on-stage narratives, speaker briefs, and event collateral.
5. Community Engagement & Storytelling Stakeholder & Board Engagement
- Work closely with stakeholders across the philanthropic ecosystem to identify, source, and develop compelling stories, data, and insights with discretion and impact
- Prepare Board-facing communications, impact one-pagers, and investor/donor-facing collateral.
- Build a culture of shared learning and to use these narratives to strengthen member engagement and retention, and support member recruitment.
6. Organisational Management- Team (& Agency) Leadership
- Build, mentor, motivate and lead a lean and high-performing team; manage external agencies (PR, creative, production).
- Set clear KPIs, manage budgets and ensure timely delivery of campaigns and assets.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment, setting clear goals and supporting the professional growth of the team.
7. Insights & Measurement
- Implement analytics and reporting to track metricsbrand awareness, engagement, newsletter performance, website traffic, media share-of- voice and translate insights into strategy.
- Maintain strong quality control, content governance and crisis-communications readiness.
Requisites
1. Experience & Education
- Atleast 15 years of progressive professional experience in brand, communications, public relations, marketing leadership, or related senior roles; experience in mission-driven organisations strongly preferred
- Deep understanding of philanthropy, social impact, or non-profit sector.
- Advanced degree or executive credentials in Communications/Marketing/Journalism/Business is a plus.
2. Core Capabilities
- Strategic Storyteller: Proven ability to craft narratives that influence senior, UHNI audiences and public stakeholders.
- Multichannel Expert: Fluency in digital and social media channels. Deep experience with digital platforms, multimedia production, newsletters and print publication, and CRM and audience insight tools.
- Media & Thought Leadership: Strong track record placing commentary, shaping agenda and securing tier-1 media coverage.
- Leadership & People Management: Experience leading teams and external agencies; strong mentor and culture-builder.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to work across teams and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders discretion and gravitas essential.
- Analytical & Results-Oriented: Data-driven approach to measure ROI of communications and continuous optimisation.
- Crisis & Reputation Management: Experience creating and executing media and communications responses under pressure.
- Operational Excellence: Strong project management, budgeting and vendor-management skills.
