Location: Remote
Pay Rate: $80,000 – $120,000 per year

Position Overview
A defense and government contracting firm is seeking an experienced Proposal Manager to lead the development of winning proposals for federal government opportunities. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, deadline-driven professional with deep knowledge of the federal procurement process and a track record of producing compliant, compelling proposal submissions. This is a fully remote, full-time opportunity with a well-established defense contractor that pursues opportunities across multiple federal agencies and contract vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all phases of the proposal development lifecycle from RFP analysis through final submission
  • Develop and enforce proposal schedules, compliance matrices, and outline documents aligned with RFP requirements
  • Coordinate and facilitate color team reviews including Pink, Red, and Gold teams and incorporate feedback into final documents
  • Work closely with capture managers, subject matter experts, pricing analysts, and contracts teams to produce integrated, competitive proposals
  • Write, edit, and review executive summaries, management volumes, technical narratives, and past performance sections
  • Ensure all proposal volumes are fully compliant with solicitation instructions and evaluation criteria
  • Manage multiple concurrent proposals simultaneously without compromising quality or deadline compliance
  • Maintain organized proposal libraries including past performance references, resumes, and boilerplate content
  • Lead lessons learned sessions following each proposal submission to continuously improve win rates and process efficiency
  • Stay current with federal procurement regulations, industry trends, and agency priorities relevant to the firm's capture pipeline

Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of federal proposal management experience with demonstrated wins
  • Strong knowledge of federal procurement regulations including FAR, DFARS, and major IDIQ/GWAC vehicle structures
  • Proficiency with proposal development tools and document management platforms
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to distill complex technical content into clear, compelling narratives
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills for working across multidisciplinary proposal teams
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a related field is preferred
