Core Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, calibrate, and clean encapsulation machinery, including hard-shell capsule filling equipment, for R&D and pilot-batch manufacturing runs
  • Follow master batch records, standard operating procedures, and work orders with accuracy and consistency
  • Monitor encapsulation parameters including fill weight, capsule integrity, and machine speed to ensure product quality throughout each run
  • Perform in-process checks and document results accurately in batch records and logbooks in compliance with cGMP requirements
  • Collaborate directly with R&D formulators and quality personnel to troubleshoot equipment issues and adjust processes during developmental runs
  • Assist in equipment changeovers, line clearances, and sanitation activities between production batches
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times, adhering to all safety protocols and personal protective equipment requirements
  • Identify and communicate deviations, non-conformances, or equipment malfunctions promptly to supervisory staff
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing operational feedback and suggestions based on direct equipment experience
  • Participate in training programs and remain current on all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements

Must-Have Requirements
  • Minimum of one year of hands-on experience operating encapsulation equipment in a dietary supplement, pharmaceutical, or nutraceutical manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of cGMP regulations and manufacturing documentation practices
  • Demonstrated ability to read and follow batch records, SOPs, and technical work instructions accurately
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform minor equipment adjustments and troubleshooting
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing consistent, high-quality results
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative cross-functional team
  • Basic computer proficiency for documentation and record-keeping purposes
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or coursework in manufacturing, life sciences, or a related field is a plus
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods during shift operations
