Job Title: Corporate Tax Manager
Location: Hybrid Minimum 2 days in office | New York, NY 10017 (also open to Melville, NY & Iselin, NJ)
Pay: $155,000 $170,000 / year
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to join our growing team. This role involves managing multiple client engagements within corporate tax, focusing on income tax planning, compliance, and ASC 740 tax accounting. The position is ideal for an experienced tax professional who thrives in client-facing roles, enjoys leading teams, and has strong technical expertise in corporate income tax.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead client engagements from planning through completion, ensuring quality and timeliness.
- Supervise, mentor, and review work of associates and senior associates.
- Review corporate income tax returns and recommend tax savings strategies.
- Conduct and review ASC 740 income tax provision projects.
- Research and advise on federal, state, and local tax matters, including international taxation.
- Respond to IRS and state authority inquiries.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities to expand services.
- Stay current on tax regulations and participate in ongoing professional development.
Must Haves / Requirements Summary:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting.
- CPA or JD/active law license required.
- 4-7 years of progressive tax compliance and/or consulting experience.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, corporate income tax laws, and ASC 740.
- Public accounting experience preferred.
- Proficiency with tax software (OneSource Tax Provision preferred).
- Excellent communication, client service, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work onsite in New York (hybrid, 2+ days in office) and travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with state/local taxation, international tax, and transfer pricing.
- Proven success managing multiple client engagements simultaneously.
