Core Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical medical physics duties in support of radiation oncology treatment planning and delivery
  • Conduct routine and non-routine quality assurance procedures on linear accelerators, simulation equipment, and treatment planning systems
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists and dosimetrists to develop and review individualized patient treatment plans
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and institutional radiation safety regulations and guidelines
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all physics procedures, measurements, and calibrations
  • Participate in chart rounds, multidisciplinary team meetings, and ongoing clinical education initiatives
  • Provide guidance and oversight to dosimetry staff and support training of new team members as needed
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with vendors or biomedical engineering staff for timely resolution
  • Support the development and implementation of new treatment techniques and clinical protocols
  • Assist with radiation safety program management, including personnel monitoring and regulatory reporting

Must-Have Requirements
  • American Board of Radiology (ABR) certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics or equivalent board certification
  • Minimum of two years of clinical medical physics experience in a radiation oncology setting
  • Proficiency with at least one major treatment planning system such as Eclipse, RayStation, or Pinnacle
  • Strong working knowledge of linear accelerator operation, commissioning, and quality assurance
  • Familiarity with IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, and SRS treatment techniques
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical team
  • Valid state licensure in medical physics or eligibility to obtain licensure in Idaho
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple clinical priorities simultaneously
