Core Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the preparation and review of federal, state, and local corporate income tax returns and estimated tax payments
  • Lead the quarterly and annual tax provision process in accordance with ASC 740 requirements
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments and assess their impact on the organization
  • Partner with finance, legal, and accounting teams to provide tax guidance on business transactions, restructurings, and strategic initiatives
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors and coordinate audit defense activities
  • Identify and implement tax planning opportunities to optimize the overall tax position
  • Maintain and improve internal tax controls, policies, and documentation procedures
  • Mentor and develop junior tax staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
  • Prepare detailed tax analyses and effectively communicate findings to senior leadership

Must-Have Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field; CPA designation strongly preferred
  • Minimum of six years of progressive corporate tax experience, including at least two years in a management or supervisory capacity
  • Strong technical proficiency in federal and multi-state corporate income tax compliance
  • Demonstrated expertise with ASC 740 income tax accounting and tax provision processes
  • Experience working within a large corporate tax department or a Big Four or regional public accounting firm
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex tax concepts clearly to non-tax stakeholders
  • Proficiency with tax compliance software and enterprise financial systems
