Core Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research and prepare comprehensive written memoranda, briefs, and other legal documents
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of contracts, agreements, and legal correspondence on behalf of clients
- Assist senior attorneys in managing active caseloads across multiple practice areas
- Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and other legal proceedings as appropriate
- Communicate regularly and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Manage deadlines, track case developments, and maintain accurate and organized case files
- Participate in client intake consultations and contribute to case strategy discussions
- Stay current on changes in Ohio and Kentucky law, court rules, and relevant legal developments
- Collaborate effectively with paralegals, legal assistants, and administrative staff to ensure smooth case management
Must-Have Requirements
- Active bar license in Ohio, with Kentucky bar admission strongly preferred or required
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Strong legal research and writing skills with demonstrated attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines in a high-volume environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with legal research platforms such as Westlaw or LexisNexis
- Strong interpersonal skills and a client-focused mindset
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- High degree of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards
