RN - PICU - DAYS - Fresno,CA

DAY SHIFT - TEMP TO PERM UP TO $65.52 AN HOUR

The PICU Nurse is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients. This role requires exceptional clinical skills, emotional resilience, and the ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Continuously monitor vital signs and medical equipment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
• Educate families on patient condition and care requirements.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in California
• Minimum of 2 years of PICU or pediatric nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Additional Qualifications:

• Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) or Certified Pediatric Critical Care Nurse (CCRN-P) is highly preferred
• Prior experience in a high-acuity, fast-paced setting
