Core Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients through comprehensive assessments to identify physical impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient goals, clinical findings, and evidence-based best practices
  • Implement therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, and modality application
  • Monitor patient progress regularly and modify treatment plans as clinically appropriate
  • Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, injury prevention strategies, and long-term wellness
  • Document all evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
  • Supervise and provide clinical guidance to physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation aides as needed
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable state, federal, and professional licensing requirements

Must-Have Requirements
  • Active Physical Therapist licensure in the state of Michigan or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start date
  • Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based physical therapy evaluation and treatment techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively engage patients, families, and fellow clinicians
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse patient caseload in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and standard clinical documentation practices
  • Current CPR and Basic Life Support certification
