Core Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and coordination of pitch books, confidential information memoranda, management presentations, and other critical transaction materials
- Build, maintain, and refine complex financial models including discounted cash flow analyses, leveraged buyout models, accretion and dilution analyses, and comparable company valuations
- Conduct thorough industry research and competitive landscape assessments across healthcare subsectors to support deal origination and execution
- Manage due diligence processes, coordinating across legal, financial, and operational workstreams while liaising with clients and counterparties
- Draft and review transaction documents, term sheets, and letters of intent in collaboration with legal advisors
- Mentor and provide guidance to Analysts, reviewing their work product and supporting their professional development
- Maintain active communication with clients throughout transaction processes, ensuring deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy
- Contribute to business development efforts by identifying potential transaction opportunities and supporting senior bankers in client meetings
Must-Have Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related discipline from an accredited institution
- Two to four years of investment banking experience, preferably within a healthcare coverage or M&A group
- Demonstrated proficiency in financial modeling, valuation methodologies, and quantitative analysis
- Strong working knowledge of the healthcare industry landscape, including key regulatory frameworks and market dynamics
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively
- Proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous workstreams under tight deadlines without sacrificing quality
- High attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a collaborative team-oriented approach
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred but not strictly required for exceptional candidates with relevant experience
