JOB DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:

Our client is one of South Africa's leading office consumables suppliers and is looking for an Internal Sales Consultant to join their team in Midrand.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Meet monthly and annual sales and gross profit targets
• Generate sales through customer engagement and order processing
• Maintain and grow an existing client base
• Prospect for new business through cold calling and client outreach
• Capture and process customer orders accurately
• Follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery and supply deadlines are met
• Liaise with internal departments (Purchasing, Credit Control, Warehouse, Operations)
• Provide support with order processing and tender completion
• Deliver consistent customer service across all levels of interaction

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric
• Tertiary qualification (advantageous)

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Basic sales or industry experience (print/stationery preferred but not essential)
• Strong communication skills (written and spoken English)
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Self-motivated with a confident and proactive approach
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
• Ability to multitask and coordinate across departments
