Director of Program Management – Manufacturing (Fort Worth, TX)

Location: Fort Worth, Texas
Compensation: $160,000 – $200,000 base + bonus + benefits

Role Overview

We are seeking a Director of Program Management to lead execution of complex manufacturing programs across a growing, evolving production environment.

This role is responsible for ensuring customer programs are delivered on time, on cost, and to specification, while also helping build structure, discipline, and scalability into how projects are executed across the business.

This is not a purely administrative PMO role. It requires a leader who can operate in technical, fast-moving, and sometimes undefined program environments, where solutions must often be created rather than followed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end execution of manufacturing programs from award through delivery
  • Own program performance across scope, schedule, cost, and quality
  • Build and manage program plans, milestones, risk registers, and delivery frameworks
  • Act as primary interface between customers, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain
  • Drive alignment across production, procurement, and engineering on program requirements
  • Identify and manage program risks, trade-offs, and recovery plans
  • Ensure accurate forecasting of program timelines, costs, and capacity impacts
  • Support pricing, estimating, and bid/proposal development with commercial teams
  • Establish scalable project/program management processes and governance
  • Lead continuous improvement in delivery execution and cross-functional coordination

What Success Looks Like

  • Programs delivered on time and within budget expectations
  • Strong cross-functional alignment between engineering, ops, and supply chain
  • Clear visibility of all active programs and risks
  • Improved predictability in execution and delivery performance
  • A more structured and scalable program delivery function over time

What We're Looking For

  • Builder + Operator mindset (can create structure and run it)
  • Experience managing complex, engineered manufacturing programs
  • Strong ability to operate in dynamic, non-standardized environments
  • Comfortable making decisions with incomplete or evolving information
  • Strong cross-functional leadership across engineering and operations
  • Excellent stakeholder and customer communication skills
  • Ability to balance scope, cost, schedule, and production reality

Experience Required

  • 8–15+ years in program management or project leadership
  • Manufacturing, industrial, aerospace, defense, or OEM experience
  • Experience managing technical, engineered, or custom production programs
  • Strong understanding of production environments (machining, fabrication, assembly)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects/programs
  • Experience working with engineering and supply chain in delivery environments
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP-driven production planning preferred

Preferred Experience

  • Aerospace, defense, or complex industrial manufacturing
  • High-mix / low-volume or custom engineered products
  • Growth or transformation-stage manufacturing environments
