The Hammitt Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to oversee our sheet metal fabrication department for our custom food service equipment manufacturing client. This is a full-time position with the opportunity for growth and advancement within our company.

As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of skilled sheet metal fabricators to ensure the timely and efficient production of high-quality custom food service equipment. You will work closely with our design team to ensure that all products are manufactured to meet our client's specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and oversee all aspects of the sheet metal fabrication department, including production schedules, inventory, and quality control.

- Lead, train, and develop a team of sheet metal fabricators to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to produce high-quality products.

- Collaborate with the design team to review and interpret client specifications and ensure that all products are manufactured to meet these requirements.

- Monitor production processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

- Manage inventory levels and ensure that all materials and supplies are ordered and received in a timely manner.

- Maintain a safe and clean work environment and ensure that all safety protocols are followed.

- Communicate with clients to provide updates on production timelines and address any concerns or issues.

- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to increase productivity and reduce costs.

- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and engineering, to ensure a smooth production process and timely delivery of products to clients.

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in sheet metal fabrication techniques and equipment.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role, preferably in the sheet metal fabrication industry.

- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, equipment, and materials.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills.

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and production management software.

- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
