About the Role:
We are looking for a 1099 Business Development Recruiter to help build and grow our candidate network. This role is focused on outreach and talent pipeline development identifying, engaging, and nurturing strong candidates across a variety of industries.

This is a commission-based, independent contractor position. You'll have the flexibility to work remotely and on your own schedule, but we expect a self-starter with a track record of delivering results.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively source and engage candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and other creative outreach methods

  • Build and manage a pipeline of qualified talent across multiple disciplines

  • Conduct initial screenings to assess candidate fit for current and future roles

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records

  • Collaborate with the founder on strategic sourcing plans and candidate market insights

  • Represent The Hammitt Group professionally and ethically in all candidate interactions

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in full-cycle recruiting or candidate sourcing

  • Strong candidate sourcing/outreach skills (LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, etc.)

  • Self-directed and able to work with limited resources and oversight

  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and CRM tools

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfortable working on a commission/contractor basis

  • U.S. based, authorized to work in the U.S. (we are not able to sponsor work authorization)

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in business development or staffing agency recruiting

  • Background in building talent pipelines from scratch

  • Interest in long-term partnership or equity opportunity as the business grows

Contractor Details (Legal Note):
This is a 1099 independent contractor position. As such, you are responsible for your own taxes, equipment, benefits, and working hours. There is no employment relationship implied or established. This role is performance-based, and future partnership or equity discussions will be based on mutual interest and sustained success.
