Job Description:
Director of Sales – Manufacturing (Fort Worth, TX)
Location: Fort Worth, Texas
Compensation: $150,000 – $190,000 base + commission/bonus + benefits
Role Overview
We are seeking a Director of Sales to lead commercial growth for a manufacturing organization operating in a high-mix, technical, and evolving production environment.
This is not a transactional sales role. You will be responsible for building and scaling a structured sales function, developing key accounts, and driving revenue growth in both existing and emerging markets.
Success requires comfort in environments where offerings evolve, solutions are often engineered, and sales cycles are consultative and technical.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute overall sales strategy and revenue growth plan
- Develop and expand key accounts across industrial, aerospace, defense, and OEM sectors
- Lead consultative and solution-based selling for custom and engineered products
- Build pipeline, forecast accuracy, and disciplined CRM usage
- Partner closely with operations and engineering on pricing, feasibility, and lead times
- Identify and develop new market opportunities and strategic accounts
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and long-term supply agreements
- Build scalable sales processes, tools, and reporting structure
- Lead and develop future sales team capability as the function grows

- Experience in technical, engineered, or manufactured products
- Strong ability to sell in consultative, solution-based environments
- Comfortable with complex, non-standard product offerings
- Ability to collaborate deeply with operations and engineering teams
- Strong commercial judgment (pricing, margin, trade-offs)
- Direct, confident communicator who drives accountability
Experience Required
- 8–15+ years in B2B sales leadership
- Background in manufacturing, industrial, aerospace, defense, or OEM sales
- Experience managing key accounts and long sales cycles
- Proven track record of revenue growth and margin improvement
- CRM discipline (pipeline management, forecasting, reporting)
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering and operations
Preferred Experience
- Custom manufacturing / engineered products
- Machining, fabrication, assembly, or industrial services
- Growth or transformation-stage organizations
