Statement of Work
For Psychologists in the Albanian Helicopter Flight Academy
The primary role of the psychologist in the AHFA is to assist, in a professional capacity, in the selection process of candidates for helicopter pilot training program.All the program's psychologists will partake in all aspects of the screening procedure, including test administration and interpretation, interviewing, administering group situational tests and evaluating candidates.
A secondary role of the program's psychologists is to assist in the ground school program by teaching the trainees in a specific field of studies related to the human factor in aviation, flight safety etc.The AHFA psychologist will be part of a team and will report, professionally, to the program's Head Psychologist, and administratively to Elbit's site manager.
The AHFA's psychologists will be required to partake in a yearly selection session, that is planned to take place during the first two weeks of July every year from 2026 to 2030.
The psychologist's obligations will include full and dedicated participation in the following procedures:
1. Training
An initial training program will provide basic familiarity with the selection systems, tools, and professional approach and practices that will be applied in the screening procedure.
The planned training stage is for June 2026, a few weeks prior to the start of the first screening session that is planned for July 6th – 17th, 2026.
A possible refresher training sessions and/or consultations, lasting 1-3 days, may be required in the following years.
2. Translation of Tests and Additional Texts
Prior to the first screening session, the team of psychologists will be required to translate psychometric tests, questionnaires and/or some additional texts, from English to Albanian, estimated at a total of 3-5 working days per psychologist.
This task may be performed from any location, at the psychologist's convenience.
Translation of additional texts and materials may be required in the future.
3. The Screening Sessions
The screening sessions is planned to take place in AHFA in Vlora and is planned to be performed in 2 consecutive weeks while the screening procedures will be performed for 15-20 candidates each week.
4. The psychologist's duties may include:
a. Organizing and arranging lists, materials and auxiliary tools in preparation of each screening session.
b. Administration, supervising and scoring computer-based or paper-and- pencil tests and questionnaires.
c. Leading group situational exercises and providing written numerical and verbal evaluations of participant candidates.
d. Interviewing candidates as instructed and providing a written summary report, including numerical as well as verbal evaluations.
e. Participating in team meetings, discussions and consultations.
f. Entering data on the computer.
g. Organizing and filing testing material and candidates' personal files.
5. Additional Duties
Additional duties may be required from time to time during the screening sessions or during the intervals between sessions, to be coordinated directly with every psychologist, by mutual agreement, per task.
6. Working Hours
During screening sessions, the typical working day will last 8-9 hours but may extend to 10-11 hours in exceptional circumstances.
7. Special Obligations of the Psychologist
1. In addition, and beyond all general obligations of a worker towards his employer, the psychologist undertakes to strictly adhere to the following principles:
7.1 To respect all the ethical rules guiding the practice of psychology, and above all, to keep in the strictest confidence any and all personal information about candidates acquired during, or as a result of, the selection procedure, either directly or indirectly. Every candidate's privacy is to be strictly protected.
7.2 To disqualify himself or herself from the assessment of any candidate with whom he or she has
prior acquaintances or family ties, all in coordination with Elbit's Head Psychologist.
7.3 To keep in the strictest confidence, any and all information regarding the psychological tests, questionnaires, procedures and tools used in the selection procedure. It is strictly forbidden to divulge such information to any person outside the team of psychologists and/or the AHFA management without prior permission from Elbit's Head Psychologist.
7.4 All tests used in the selection procedure are protected by copyright laws. It is strictly forbidden to copy, replicate or use any test in any form, for any purpose outside the AHFA, without written prior consent from Elbit's Head Psychologist.
7.5 As a representative of Albanian Army, the Albanian Air Force, Elbit and the AHFA, the psychologist is to assure that his actions and behavior reflect favorably on them all, at all times.
8. Period of Obligation
By signing a contract, the psychologist undertakes to perform all the duties and obligations delineated here for a period of up to 4 weeks a year for five years.
Additional Duties of the Team Coordinator
In addition to the above, a team coordinator from the psychology team may be appointed to serve as a go-between, representing Elbit vis-à-vis the team.
The coordinator will bear the following additional duties:
a) Facilitating access to all team members, especially during the intervals between selection procedures. This will include passing on information, requests or assignments from Elbit to each team member, as may be needed from time to time, as well as requests or inquiries from team members to Elbit.
b) Taking full responsibility for the proper, accurate and timely performance of all duties and tasks assigned to the team by Elbit's Head Psychologist, especially, but not only, during the intervals between sessions.
