1. Job Title: Development Leader

2. JOB PURPOSE:
A development leader is a professional who is highly motivated and experienced Development Leader to oversee and drive our development projects. The Development Leader will be responsible for managing the development team, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions, and collaborating with stakeholders to align technical capabilities with business objectives.
3. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Basic functions and purpose of responsibilities:
- Helps to ensure the continuous improvement of procedures, documentations, certifications, and equipments as appropriate.
- Leads, mentors, and motivates a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Conducts performance reviews, provide feedback, and support professional growth of team members.
- Ensures the team adheres to best practices in coding, testing, and software development methodologies.
- Oversees the entire development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Develops project timelines, allocates resources, and monitors progress to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Identifies and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and ensure that projects are completed within scope and budget.
- Provides technical guidance and support to the development team.
- Drives the adoption of agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
- Facilitates effective communication between technical and non-technical team members and stakeholders.
- Ensures that stakeholder feedback is incorporated into the development process and that expectations are managed.
- Drives innovation within the team, encouraging the exploration of new ideas and technologies.
- Evaluates and recommends new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance the development process.
- Supports the company with any other duties needed.
Requirements:
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Strong interpersonal, organisational, time management and problem-solving skills.
- Minimum 10 years with Java and/or Oracle development platform.
- Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
- Able to prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Understanding of distributed architectures.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Java development experience with a demonstrated track record of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD).
- Experience with Oracle.
