Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Construction Take-Off Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for performing accurate material and quantity take-offs, reviewing and coordinating construction plans, and supporting project documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, and Excel, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed and accurate take-offs from architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Review and coordinate construction plans to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Prepare and submit RFIs (Request for Information), submittals, and other project-related documentation.
  • Maintain well-organized project files and documentation for easy retrieval and reference.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to clarify design details and resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide timely updates and reports to support cost estimating and project planning efforts.
  • Assist in cost estimating by providing accurate quantity take-off data to support bids and budgets.
  • Verify and update drawings to reflect design changes, revisions, and field modifications.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications and standards when preparing take-off reports and documentation.
  • Collaborate with estimators and project managers to ensure alignment between design documents and project requirements.
  • Support value engineering efforts by identifying potential material or design alternatives to reduce costs without compromising quality.
  • Perform general administrative and data-related tasks as needed.
  • Perform other tasks related to the position.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Proficient level of English (written and spoken).
  • Strong phone and interpersonal communication skills in English (verbally and written) with the ability to effectively engage with cross-functional teams, internal leaders, and providers.
  • Professional, polite, and customer-focused tone.
  • Organized, positive attitude and a professional approach to problem-solving, with strong attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Excel is a must-have.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in quantity take-offs.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and analyze construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience in preparing RFIs (Request for Information), submittals, and project documentation (preferred).
  • Previous experience in construction, architecture, or engineering is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets).
  • Sound judgment and the capacity to comprehend and execute instructions promptly with minimal supervision.
  • Must have a Windows computer (Windows 10 or newer) that is less than 4 years old.
  • Two monitors and a high-speed fiber network or Starlink internet.
