Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Remote Survey Drafter to support the production of accurate as-built surveys, built plans, and construction drawings for renovation and architectural projects. This position requires strong drafting skills, a solid understanding of AutoCAD and Revit, and the ability to translate field data into professional, client-ready drawings. Familiarity with cloud-based tools is a plus, but coding knowledge is not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft detailed as-built surveys, renovation plans, and construction documents using AutoCAD, Revit, and other drawing software.
  • Interpret field-collected data to produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings.
  • Assist in preparing files for renovation projects, including layouts, elevations, and sections.
  • Draft boundary surveys, topographic maps, and site plans based on surveyor-provided data.
  • Prepare legal plats, easements, and right-of-way drawings in coordination with survey teams.
  • Integrate data from GPS, total stations, or laser scanners into CAD files.
  • Review and interpret survey field notes, sketches, and measurements for accuracy.
  • Support the creation of construction stakeout drawings for field crews.
  • Coordinate with engineers or licensed land surveyors to ensure layout accuracy.
  • Ensure all drawings align with company standards, building codes, local surveying regulations and industry standards

  • Organize and manage files using cloud-based systems to support team-wide access and project delivery.
  • Maintain a high level of detail, precision, and accountability throughout the drafting process.
  • Perform other duties related to the position.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Advanced level of English (written and spoken).
  • Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written) with the ability to communicate with cross-functional and internal leaders.
  • Background in architecture, drafting, or a related technical field.
  • Excellent drafting abilities with proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Prior experience as a Survey Drafter, As-Built Drafter or similar roles.
  • Proficient in and working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD and 2D & 3D drafting techniques.
  • Experience producing as-built surveys, built-plans, and renovation & construction drawings.
  • Familiarity with survey methods and drawing from field data.
  • Ability to manage and organize data using cloud-based tools.
  • Familiarity with other drawing software or visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with land surveying principles and terminology (e.g., bearings, legal descriptions, topographic data).
  • Ability to interpret legal property descriptions and survey plats.
  • Strong mathematical skills and spatial awareness for accurate measurement translation.
  • Understanding of zoning, property lines, and site layout considerations.
  • Ability to collaborate with field teams and interpret digital data remotely.
  • Experience in NYC residential or commercial survey drafting is a plus.
  • Must be organized and have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Must have a Windows computer (Windows 10 or newer) that is less than 4 years old.
  • Two monitors and a high-speed fiber network or Starlink internet.
