Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Scheduler responsible for both building and continuously managing construction schedules across active projects. This role goes far beyond creating a timeline once and walking away.
This is a technical scheduling role — not engineering and not administrative. Candidates with the following knowledge and relevant experience may apply: Construction Scheduler, Project Scheduler, CPM Scheduler, Primavera Scheduler, Project Controls Scheduler, Master Scheduler.

We are specifically hiring someone who will:

Build schedules from architectural drawings
Maintain and update schedules weekly
Monitor whether projects are on schedule or off schedule
Identify risks and delays early
Adjust timelines proactively
Participate in scheduling meetings
Provide leadership with clear visibility into project progress

This is both a schedule builder AND a schedule manager.

The ideal candidate understands how construction projects actually move in the field and can translate plans into realistic, executable timelines that remain accurate throughout the lifecycle of the project.

Core Responsibilities:

The Construction Project Scheduler will:

  • Read and interpret architectural and construction drawings
  • Build detailed project schedules from scratch
  • Develop milestone-driven timelines with task dependencies
  • Create and manage Gantt charts with Critical Path Method (CPM)
  • Continuously update schedules to reflect real project conditions
  • Conduct weekly schedule reviews to determine if projects are on track
  • Flag delays immediately and recommend corrective actions
  • Adjust timelines based on field realities
  • Coordinate sequencing with vendors and subcontractors
  • Participate in project meetings related to scheduling
  • Provide clear reporting on timeline health

This is an active operational role, not passive schedule creation.

Required Deliverables:

Candidates must be capable of producing and maintaining:

Full construction schedules built from drawings
Weekly schedule updates
Variance reporting (on schedule vs off schedule)
Critical path analysis
Resource allocation visibility
Delay mitigation plans

Output formats must include:

Microsoft Project — REQUIRED
Preferred but not mandatory:

  • Primavera P6
  • Advanced Excel
  • PDF reporting

NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 5+ years in construction scheduling or project planning
Must be able to read blueprints / construction drawings
Proven experience building schedules FROM SCRATCH
HIGHLY proficient in Microsoft Project
(Hands-on experience — not basic familiarity.)
Experience continuously updating live project schedules
Comfortable running weekly schedule reviews
Strong understanding of construction sequencing

Candidates without real MS Project experience should NOT be submitted.

STRONG PLUSES (Highly Desired):

Candidates with experience in construction management platforms should be prioritized.

Experience working inside an existing construction software ecosystem is a major advantage.
