Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Remote Spec Book & Architectural Construction Documentation Drafter with advanced Revit expertise to support the production of accurate, coordinated, and buildable construction documents. This role requires a strong understanding of construction and architectural logic, NYC building codes or USA in general, and the ability to translate approved design concepts into fully coordinated documentation ready for field execution. The ideal candidate is efficient, precise, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Strong communication skills, professional reliability, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and leadership are essential. This position requires availability during Eastern Standard Time business hours and participation in a test project following the first interview.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce accurate, coordinated construction documents in Revit based on received files and inputs.
- Evaluate approved design concepts with a clear understanding of how the design will be built in the field.
- Translate approved design concepts into clear, buildable, and fully coordinated construction documentation.
- Model and document designs based on architectural, consultant, and client inputs.
- Identify finishes, fixtures, and materials and document them accurately.
- Detect missing details, inconsistencies, or coordination issues and proactively address or flag them.
- Communicate changes and revisions clearly with the internal team.
- Perform other tasks related to the role.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proficient level of English (written and spoken).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to collaborate effectively with teams, leadership, providers, and clients.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit is required.
- Demonstrated experience in 3D modeling and construction documentation.
- Proven experience in construction documentation.
- Ability to produce accurate, well-coordinated architectural documentation.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Experience using Asana or similar project management tools.
- Strong general computer skills and digital workflow proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets).
- Strong understanding of NYC building codes and laws or USA in general.
- Experience with NYC multi-family residential code logic is highly preferred, but not required.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
