Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Remote Bookkeeper (QuickBooks) to support daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records. This role is responsible for managing accounts payable activities, entering and processing invoices, reconciling bank accounts, maintaining financial documentation, assisting with month-end bookkeeping tasks, and generating financial reports using QuickBooks and Excel. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of bookkeeping experience, strong proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and Microsoft Office, and a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities accurately and efficiently. This position requires a proactive, adaptable, and self-motivated professional who can quickly learn new systems and processes, collaborate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members, and consistently follow established procedures with minimal supervision. The successful candidate must be available to work U.S. Eastern Time business hours and be interested in a long-term career opportunity within a growing organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter and maintain vendor invoices accurately in the accounting system.
- Process payments in accordance with company procedures and deadlines.
- Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Assist with accounts payable activities and invoice management.
- Follow up with vendors regarding billing discrepancies and payment inquiries.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
- Review financial data for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with month-end bookkeeping and account reconciliation activities.
- Generate and update financial reports and spreadsheets using Excel.
- Perform other duties related to the position as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proficient level of English (written and spoken).
- Excellent professional and communication skills, allowing for effective collaboration with clients, vendors, and teammates.
- Strong QuickBooks experience required.
- Experience using Excel for reporting and spreadsheet management.
- 2+ years of bookkeeping experience.
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Availability to work Monday-Thursday 9:00 AM-6:00 PM and Friday 9:00 AM-12:00 PM.
- Strong work ethics with the ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems, software, and workflows.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and standard business tools (email, spreadsheets, document management).
- Out-of-the-box thinker, highly adaptable, reliable, self-motivated, and confident approach.
- Positive attitude and the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
- Ability to understand and follow established processes accurately with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work U.S. Eastern Time (New York) business hours and adapt to business needs.
