The Role: Senior Bookkeeper / Accountant

The purpose of this role is to take ownership of the companys financial operations and oversee payments. It exists to manage budgets and forecast financial performance to ensure the financial health and operational efficiency of the business. The main focus areas include managing financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supporting operational teams with financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize proven experience as a Senior Bookkeeper or Accountant to manage financial operations.
• Prepare and manage annual budgets in alignment with business objectives.
• Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts and financial projections.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable while managing and authorising supplier payments.
• Perform monthly bookkeeping to trial balance and prepare management accounts.
• Monitor financial performance to highlight risks or opportunities.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist with process improvements and support operational teams with reporting.

About You

• Proven experience as a Senior Bookkeeper or Accountant.
• Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• High level of accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-moving business.
• Energetic, proactive, and solutions-driven personality.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (advantageous).
