Insurance Sales Manager Government & Group Schemes

Are you a high-performing insurance sales professional ready to build and lead a team from the ground up?
Were launching a new retail worksite distribution channel, and were looking for a Cape Town-based Insurance Sales Manager to take the reins. If you have experience leading field-based teams, securing access to employer groups, and driving results in the government and group scheme space this is your chance to shape a new frontier in insurance.
Job details:
- Recruit, lead, and coach a high-performing insurance sales team
- Open doors to municipalities, government departments, and employer groups
- Secure stop order and PERSAL access where possible
- Conduct daily field coaching, performance reviews, and pipeline tracking
- Build lasting relationships with HR managers, decision-makers, and unions
- Collaborate with senior leadership to refine strategy and scale nationally
Requirements:
- 2+ years in insurance sales management, preferably in group schemes or government
- RE5 (RE1 and/or 120 credits in Wealth Management preferred)
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team performance management experience
- Access to, or networks in, government/employer channels in Cape Town
- Proven success with funeral or life cover in a worksite model
- Tech-savvy with tablets/laptop-based sales systems
- Cape Town-based and comfortable with regular travel
