Skills & Experience Required

  • Relevant Interior Design qualification.
  • 5-7 years of experience in corporate interior design and space planning.
  • Proficiency in Revit, BIM workflows, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, and Canva.
  • Strong conceptual and 3D thinking abilities, with practical application.
  • In-depth understanding of construction methods.
  • Extensive knowledge of local suppliers and awareness of current design trends in South Africa.
  • Skilled in taking accurate and comprehensive briefs.
  • Methodical, detail-oriented, and highly organised.
  • Excellent numerical skills for budget management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and adaptability.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with solid business acumen.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Google Suite.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Concept to Creation: Take client briefs, translate them into innovative design concepts, sketch proposals, and deliver impactful client presentations.
  • Design Development: Create designs that align with briefs, budgets, and regulationsproducing detailed technical, construction, and council documentation.
  • Supplier & Site Liaison: Source quality materials at competitive prices, brief contractors, conduct site inspections, and complete snag lists.
  • Project Collaboration: Partner with project managers to ensure seamless handovers and project delivery.
  • Mentorship: Coach and guide junior designers and technicians, fostering growth and excellence.
  • Brand Representation: Act as a brand ambassador, nurturing professional relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
