The Role:

The day to day job is to unearth and deliver the absolute best candidates for every open role. This isn't just about filling positions; it's about making exceptional placements that are the lifeblood of our success. You'll play a crucial role across our diverse client base, helping our global clients to build world class teams in South Africa. You will not only be customer facing, but customer delighting, building the long term relationships that have underpinned our success to date.

To thrive in this role, you'll need the ability to manage high volumes of candidates while consistently maintaining exceptional quality in every submission. When you place an outstanding individual and provide a truly delightful experience, you build lasting client relationships that drive repeat business and our continued growth.

The outstanding candidate for this role will be an excellent and clear communicator both internally and externally. Your success will hinge on your capacity to deeply understand both client and candidate motivations and profiles and the ability to collaborate with our Business Development and Account Management functions is essential.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Qualifying the requirements and motivations of our clients & understanding the requirements of every role
  • Using various tools to headhunt and source passive and active candidates that are perfect for your open roles
  • Working with our administrative team to ensure hard hitting, high quality job advertisements on relevant platforms to attract a wide pool of qualified candidates
  • Ensure expert formatting of CVs to meet our high professional standards, creating impactful candidate profiles for client submission. This includes liaising directly with candidates to update -their CVs and relevant information, leveraging tools where appropriate
  • Craft compelling cover notes that highlight candidate suitability for specific roles
  • Play a key role in candidate screening processes and help to conduct all necessary reference checks
  • Take ownership of managing and updating candidate and client information within our ATS & CRM systems
  • Ensuring timely and high quality submissions of candidates to clients, liaising with clients, being a great communication conduit between candidate and client
  • Assisting with any negotiations between candidates and clients
  • Consistent and clear ongoing communication with decision makers at clients, ensuring world class customer service
  • Ensure candidates are fully prepared for interviews, providing them with necessary details (e.g., address, timing, skills to hone) and ensuring their timely attendance
  • Ensure all recruitment workflows operate smoothly and efficiently from the initial job posting through to candidate placement and onboarding.

Experience & Skills:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a recruitment support/resourcer role

  • Experience with ATS or CRM platforms (you know your way around tech tools)
  • Exceptional attention to detail, you catch the small stuff others miss
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines like a pro
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Experience with job boards
  • Experience of talking to candidates
  • Some experience in a client facing role would be ideal, although non essential

  • Strong and clear communication and relationship-building skills: Articulating clearly with candidates and internal teams.
  • Process adherence and system proficiency: Diligently following established workflows and effectively leveraging our internal systems and other tools to maximize efficiency.

Compensation and Incentives:

  • Basic salary: R24k

  • Commission structure in place, on track commissions are 5-7k/month
  • After probationary period this staff member will qualify for; quarterly bonus (On track 10% of salary), medical aid contributions, retirement fund contributions
