Retail Worksite Sales Specialist/Field Sales Rep Long Term Insurance

About the Role:

An exciting new worksite distribution channel is being launched, aimed at delivering innovative individual insurance products directly to employees at their workplaces with a strong initial focus on municipal workers and large employer groups.

As a Retail Worksite Sales Specialist, you will be at the forefront of this rollout, actively engaging with employees on-site and driving the uptake of affordable life insurance solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage face-to-face with employees at various worksites
  • Promote and sell individual life insurance cover
  • Generate your own leads and convert them into active clients
  • Conduct on-site group presentations and one-on-one consultations
  • Digitally process applications using a tablet or laptop
  • Meet and exceed weekly and monthly sales targets
  • Monitor policy activations (first premiums paid) and ensure policy retention
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with worksite representatives and employer contacts


Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in long- or short-term insurance sales
  • RE5 certificate
  • Matric certificate
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently exceed sales targets
  • Established access to or relationships with Cape Town-based worksites (especially government or municipal sectors)
  • Familiarity with PERSAL and stop-order facilities
  • Competence using tablets or laptops for digital processing
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel locally
  • Must be based in Cape Town


Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • A diploma or degree in a relevant field
  • Previous experience selling funeral or life cover
