This is a full-time, in-office position based in Foreshore, Cape Town. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and engaging UK-based SMEs, managing the end-to-end sales cycle, and helping clients access tailored funding solutions. This role is ideal for a driven individual with strong sales instincts and a passion for helping businesses grow.Key Responsibilities
- Source and engage UK-based SMEs to assess their funding needs
- Promote trade finance and business loan products tailored to client requirements
- Manage the full sales cycle, from initial outreach through to closing
- Build and nurture lasting relationships with prospects and clients
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery
- Meet and exceed individual sales targets
- Maintain accurate records and pipeline updates using CRM tools
About You
- 13 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in financial services or lending
- Demonstrated success in meeting or surpassing sales targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Resilient, self-motivated, and results-oriented
- Comfortable with outbound calling and digital sales tools
Nice to Have:
- Experience in trade finance, invoice finance, or working with UK-based SMEs
- Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM platforms
- Previous exposure to a UK client base
