Position Overview:

Corrosion protection specialists are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor with a strong background in the corrosion protection industry to join our team in Bellville, Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in corrosion protection processes, coatings, and materials. Candidates without corrosion protection industry experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all production activities related to corrosion protection processes.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, quality control, and production schedules.
  • Manage, train, and evaluate production staff, ensuring high performance and compliance with company standards.
  • Oversee the preparation and application of protective coatings, ensuring optimal protection against corrosion.
  • Monitor inventory levels of materials and supplies, coordinating with procurement as necessary.
  • Implement and maintain continuous improvement initiatives within the production process.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain detailed production records and generate reports for management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Production Supervisor in the corrosion protection industry.
  • Strong knowledge of corrosion protection methods, coatings, and related equipment.
  • Proven leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and production management software.
  • A relevant technical qualification will be advantageous.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations within the corrosion protection industry.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
