The Role: Business Development Executive Commercial & Asset Finance
This is a dynamic, outbound-focused business development role geared toward identifying and qualifying UK-based SMEs in need of commercial finance. Acting as the first point of contact, you'll be responsible for driving top-of-funnel activity, leveraging your financial product knowledge to facilitate seamless introductions to UK advisors. The role rewards initiative, consultative selling, and a strong grasp of financial structures.
Key Responsibilities

Engage UK SME prospects via outbound calls, LinkedIn outreach, and CRM-led campaigns

Understand prospects' business operations, funding challenges, and financial documentation

Promote tailored funding options such as asset finance, invoice finance, and commercial loans

Use HubSpot and Apollo to manage leads, activity logs, and reporting

Book qualified meetings for UK-based commercial finance advisors

Collaborate with marketing and sales to refine outreach strategy and improve conversion rates

Meet or exceed key performance metrics (e.g., outreach volume, qualified meetings)
About You

310 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in finance, brokerage, or asset lending

Proven ability to sell financial solutions in a competitive, consultative environment

Understanding of SME finance needs and commercial finance products

Comfortable interpreting financial documents like Balance Sheets

Excellent communication skills with a professional UK-facing business tone

Proficient in CRM platforms, particularly HubSpot and Apollo

Motivated, detail-oriented, and organized with a self-starter mindset

Home office setup with reliable internet (10 Mbps minimum)

Available to work UK business hours (8 AM 5 PM GMT)
