The Role: Business Development Co-ordinator

This hybrid role bridges the gap between business development and care coordination. As the Business Development Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for strengthening relationships with referral partners, driving patient referrals, and ensuring a seamless care journey for service users. You'll play a key role in promoting services, enhancing brand visibility, and supporting quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with referral sources, including hospitals, physicians, and care facilities
  • Conduct outreach and presentations to promote the organization's care services
  • Develop and implement localized marketing strategies to grow patient referrals
  • Coordinate care services, including initial patient assessments and follow-ups
  • Act as the main point of contact between families, patients, and internal clinical teams
  • Track and report on referral patterns, marketing activities, and patient satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and internal policies
  • Maintain accurate documentation via CRM and EMR systems

About You

  • Based in Cape Town (non-negotiable)
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare and/or business development
  • Proven success in a sales or outreach-focused healthcare role
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with CRM/EMR platforms
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Passionate about improving healthcare access and outcomes
