The Role: Production Team Leader (Shopfitting)
This role is ideal for an experienced shopfitting professional ready to take the next step into leadership. You'll supervise and coordinate production activities on the factory floor, ensuring smooth operations, top-quality output, and adherence to project deadlines. Working closely with design, procurement, and workshop teams, you'll play a key role in maintaining efficiency, safety, and craftsmanship standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and train production staff to meet performance and quality targets

  • Coordinate daily manufacturing activities to ensure on-time project delivery

  • Oversee quality control and ensure products meet client and specification standards

  • Enforce health, safety, and environmental compliance at all times

  • Manage workflow, materials, and equipment maintenance schedules

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity

  • Liaise with design and procurement teams for production alignment

  • Complete administrative and performance reports accurately and on time

About You

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in shopfitting or a related production environment

  • Matric required; a supervisory or production management qualification is advantageous

  • Strong technical understanding of shopfitting, joinery, and woodworking machinery

  • Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) for reporting and scheduling

  • Hands-on, organized, and able to work extended hours or weekends when needed (overtime payable)

  • Physically fit, energetic, and willing to travel for projects (transport provided)
