The Role: Maintenance Supervisor
This role exists to ensure the smooth, safe, and reliable running of all building facilities and production equipment, with a strong focus on detergent filling lines and related machinery. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day maintenance activities, diagnosing faults, executing repairs, and implementing preventive maintenance routines. The position plays a critical role in minimising downtime and supporting uninterrupted production in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute daily maintenance activities across all equipment, facilities, and utilities

  • Respond quickly to machinery breakdowns to reduce downtime

  • Maintain, service, and optimise detergent filling machinery and other production equipment

  • Conduct routine inspections and implement preventative maintenance schedules

  • Manage maintenance logs, checklists, shutdown planning, and SHEQ compliance records

  • Supervise junior maintenance staff and coordinate external contractors

  • Manage and monitor critical spares inventory

  • Support production teams with technical troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency

About You

  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance role

  • Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance background

  • Hands-on experience with filling or packing machinery (detergent, chemical, FMCG, or similar)

  • Proven fault-finding ability across mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems

  • Experience supervising maintenance teams or technicians

  • Solid knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and safety regulations

  • Strong problem-solving ability with a proactive, on-the-floor approach

  • Able to work under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced production environment

  • Organised, communicative, and safety-conscious with high attention to detail
