The Role: Technical Account Manager
This role combines technical support, account management, and business development. You'll serve as the key point of contact for clients across KwaZulu-Natal and surrounding regions, ensuring customer satisfaction through technical guidance, training, and operational excellence. You'll also support regional growth by driving market share and strengthening client relationships within the refinish collision segment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Minimum 5 years experience in technical support or customer service within the refinish collision industry

  • Qualified spray painter certification essential

  • Provide first-line technical support, including audits, ratio analyses, and training plans

  • Conduct product demonstrations and technical sessions for distributors and MBRs (Manufacturer-Approved Body Repairers)

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to support business retention and growth

  • Execute segment strategies and contribute to achieving regional targets

  • Gather and report competitive intelligence at distributor and MBR levels

  • Support business reviews and update clients on new tools, products, and proposals

  • Ensure delivery of regional sales and performance objectives

About You

  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience in the refinish collision or coatings sector

  • Qualified spray painter with strong technical knowledge of MBR and distributor operations

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills

  • Commercially astute with proven ability to meet financial and growth targets

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and collision software systems

  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple accounts

  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally

  • Collaborative, results-driven, and strategic in approach
