About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems across a variety of industries. This role requires a hands-on professional with the ability to adapt to different technologies, processes, and environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for new and existing systems.

  • Conduct fault-finding, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis on automation equipment.

  • Program, configure, and commission PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and related control systems.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and integrate automation technologies.

  • Ensure systems are compliant with safety standards and operational requirements.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and optimize system performance.

  • Provide technical support, training, and documentation for end-users and clients.

  • Manage automation projects from concept through to commissioning and handover.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering (or equivalent).

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in automation engineering, preferably across multiple industries (manufacturing, industrial, process, logistics, etc.).

  • Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, or similar).

  • Experience with SCADA, HMI development, and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, OPC, etc.).

  • Strong understanding of instrumentation, sensors, and control systems.

  • Exposure to robotics, motion control, or vision systems is advantageous.

  • Project management skills, including cost estimation, scheduling, and client liaison.
