Position: Payroll Officer

Location: Limassol, Cyprus

Employment type: fixed-term contract (1 year), with possibility of permanent upon fullfiling

Remuneration: Base salary.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process monthly payroll accurately and on time for group employees
  • Collect and validate monthly payroll changes from internal departments
  • Coordinate with external payroll providers and review payroll calculations before final approval
  • Prepare and distribute direct salary payments in applicable jurisdictions
  • Upload payroll batch files to banking systems for processing
  • Ensure full compliance with payroll legislation, tax regulations, wage laws, and benefits administration
  • Generate payroll reports and analyses for management as required
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records and documentation
  • Prepare monthly payroll reconciliations and group payroll analysis
  • Post payroll-related journal entries in accounting software
  • Respond to employee payroll-related queries professionally and confidentially
  • Collaborate closely with HR to ensure accurate employee data and policy compliance
  • Support additional payroll and accounting tasks as assigned by senior finance leadership.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of Cyprus payroll legislation (mandatory)
  • Knowledge of Estonia or other regions payroll legislation will be considered as an advantage
  • Solid understanding of payroll principles, practices, and statutory requirements
  • Proven experience in payroll of multinational groups with more than 150 employees
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken. Fluency in Greek will be considered as an advantage
  • High attention to detail with strong accuracy and analytical skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
