About the role.
This position ensures the stable, secure, and continuous operation of systems, servers, and end-user environments across Linux and Windows platforms. Working closely with the Network Engineer and IT Manager, the role focuses on system monitoring, configuration management, performance optimization, and hands-on technical support.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond quickly and effectively to incidents as part of a collaborative 24/7 operations team.
  • Monitor production and streaming equipment using dashboards, logs, and monitoring tools.
  • Ensure all production systems and equipment are fully functional and operational.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, network, and system issues, including component replacement when required.
  • Coordinate with ISPs to resolve internet connectivity and network-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of workstations, users, configurations, and access permissions.
  • Respond promptly to incidents and security alerts to meet SLA and compliance requirements.
  • Perform regular data backups and support disaster recovery operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Native/fluent in Spanish and English (B2 or higher)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a System Administrator or similar IT operations role
  • Hands-on experience with Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows Domain environments, including AD, Hybrid AD, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, preferably VMware
  • Basic scripting skills using PowerShell and/or Bash
  • Solid understanding of LAN/WAN networking, including switching, routing, VPNs, VLANs, and Wi-Fi environments.
  • Experience working with server hardware and storage systems
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools, ticketing systems such as Jira, and ITIL-based workflows
  • Exposure to streaming, broadcast, or multimedia production environments is an advantage
  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL Foundation, CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft/AWS equivalents are a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and a proactive, results-oriented mindset
  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, newly formed team
  • Flexible to work in rotating shifts within a 24/7 live studio environment - 6.30am - 3.30pm, 10am - 7pm 2.30pm - 11.30pm, 10.30pm - 7.30am.
